STOP AND CONSIDER: Life Is But A Day.
Have you ever considered life?
Have you ever contemplated your existence? Have you ever thought about the mere
amount of time you have to truly “live”?
“Stop and Consider, Life is but a day. A fragile dewdrop on its
perilous way from Tree’s Summit”
We wake up each day,
at a time scheduled by our responsibilities. We Dress up, we have breakfast and
then we leave. We leave with a mind full of thoughts. We leave in a haste way,
we leave with a restless mind that keep on wandering.
When you step in your
car, you feel relaxed for a while, you put on your favorite music, you dance
along to the rhythm, you sing along with the lyrics that you practiced pretty
hard to memorize. its your time of the day, the only time when you do not even
for a second think of the busy day ahead, or the pending work you have at your
work place. It’s your time, so you just live, and in that moment you realize
you are the happiest person alive. But then you reach your place and you are
back to being the person whose shoulders are collapsing with responsibilities,
the person whose mind is restless. You go to work, you complete your part of
the day, you keep your mind busy all day with your work, but the moment it
wanders you are back again in the car singing, or back at your house reading
your favorite book, or sipping a warm cup of tea with the person you call
“home”, or writing your journal where you spill out your heart.
Your mind wanders to
the places that make you feel alive, to the places that make you feel a little
closer to your true self, your mind wanders to those places that you keep safe,
you think of the moment where your heart skipped a beat and you realize you
have never felt more alive.
You know what life is?
Your life is in that little ‘moment’ when you feel alive. You truly “live” in
that little moment, when you forget about everything and just live for
yourself. Life blooms in the moment where you feel the most alive, life blooms
in the moment you feel more like yourself, Life is all about the little moment,
and life is short. Life is short, to wait for the weekend to read your favorite
book, to write your journal or to feel relaxed with that one cup of tea.
We are living each
day, we pass these 24 hours doing things we are assigned to, and even when we
are not working our mind is still filled with the thoughts of the day ahead. We
Live our life only for those 30 minutes a day , or a few hours in a week when
we do the things we love, when we give our mind a break.
It’s not too late to realize that ” life is but a day”. So stop
and consider life, stop and give yourself some time to ‘live’. I know its a
busy day but not busy enough that you don’t have time for yourself. Wake up a
little early, take out time from your work when you sit idle, learn to live in
the mini breaks, cause “LIFE IS SHORT AND YOU
MUST KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO TRULY ‘LIVE'”
